Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
(1) The collection, processing, and use of personal data by the platform operator is carried out exclusively within the framework of applicable data protection laws, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
(2) Payment-related data (e.g. credit card information, bank details) is processed exclusively by the payment service provider Stripe. MyHelfer has no access to this data at any time. Stripe's privacy policy applies (see https://stripe.com/privacy).
(3) Communication between users and the platform takes place via SSL-encrypted connections. Measures to ensure a level of data protection in line with the current state of the art are taken on a regular basis.
(4) Users have the right to access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of the processing of their personal data in accordance with Articles 15 to 18 GDPR. Requests can be sent to support@myhelfer.eu.
(5) All rights under the GDPR apply equally to service providers (helpers). MyHelfer points out in particular that — depending on the respective usage relationship and legal requirements — the following personal data may be processed:
- Proof of identity (e.g. copy of an ID document)
- Contract and assignment data (e.g. booking history, period of placement)
- Tax-relevant information (e.g. VAT status, business registration)
- Information on availability, pricing, and customer reviews
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b), (c), and (f) GDPR (performance of a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest). Service providers have the right at any time to access their stored data and to request rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, provided no statutory retention obligations apply. Requests should be sent to support@myhelfer.eu.
(6) Automated decisions
As part of arranging services, the platform uses automated decision-making processes (matching system). This selection is based on objective criteria such as availability, price, distance, and customer reviews. The final assignment may be made automatically. In accordance with Art. 22 GDPR, users have the right to object to a decision based solely on automated processing and to request a manual review. MyHelfer can be contacted by email at support@myhelfer.eu for this purpose.
